How to improve over 300% in one year.

Have you ever tried getting physically stronger?

If you have, you know that the only real way to get stronger is to lift or do things enough times that it exhausts you and you can’t do it anymore.

If you’re lifting weights, you hopefully know that the only way you’ll keep improving is if you lift heavy enough weights enough times that you can’t finish every lift.

When you can. You add a little more weight.

In other words, you’re constantly increasing your challenge to the level where you can almost do it, but not quite.

That’s what builds muscle.

And the same principle will build your life.

If you want to increase your skills or your result you have to challenge yourself. And when you feel like you’re mastering your challenge, you must increase it.

Having worked as a coach for over a decade now, I can tell you that this is the main thing that separates those who succeed from those who don’t.

The ones who do succeed challenge themselves every day. Instead of backing away from the things that make them nervous, uncomfortable or stressed, they seek them out. And when it no longer has this effect on them, they raise the bar or change the task.

Now this might sound obvious to you. But do you do it?

Most people I meet don’t.

They know they should. They’ll even tell others that they have to. But they themselves tend to seek out comfort the majority of their days and pat themselves on the back because they challenge themselves a couple of times a week when they go to “train”.

I’m here to tell you that if you want big results fast – that’s not enough.

If you want big results, it’s not enough to only challenge yourself on the one or two areas that you want success in when you feel like it. When you’re motivated. When it’s a Saturday night.

You should seek out challenges wherever you see them. The feeling of nervousness should trigger you to move forward, not to pull back.

The opportunity to grow should be seized when it presents itself, in any area of life.

Because when you create a habit of facing challenges, you’ll grow every day. You’ll find it much easier to face the challenges that matter most. And you’ll build the confidence in yourself that you need in order to know that whatever you need to do – you can handle it.

But feel free to take Sundays off 😉
